Hygienists
Kathleen, Registered Dental Hygienist
Kathleen is one of our fantastic hygienists who loves getting to know each and every patient. She graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry Hygiene program in 2000.
Kathleen loves spending time with her 3 children and husband doing various kid’s activities.
Autumn, Registered Dental Hygienist
Autumn is a Registered Dental Hygienist with CPR certification. She completed prerequisites at Indiana University (Bloomington) and earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in 2009. With 16 years of experience in dentistry, she is also licensed to administer local anesthesia. She values building strong relationships with patients, treating them like family, and creating a welcoming environment.
Outside the office, she enjoys concerts, sporting events, and time at the beach. A fun fact: she could eat Mexican food every day.
Jamie, Registered Dental Hygienist
Jamie discovered her love for dentistry in high school through the J. Everett Light Career Center and began her career as an orthodontic assistant before pursuing dental hygiene. She completed her hygiene degree at Indiana University School of Dentistry and has practiced for 19 years. Jamie enjoys the variety of each day, from catching up with longtime patients to helping others gain confidence in their smiles. She aims to provide a calming presence tailored to each patient’s needs.
Outside of work, she cares for three cats and two dogs, volunteers at the Hamilton County Humane Society, and cheers for her daughter at volleyball games.
Priya, Registered Dental Hygienist
Priya began her dental career in India, where she earned her Bachelor’s in Dental Science, and later transitioned to dental hygiene after moving to the United States. She graduated with honors from New York University with an Associate’s in Dental Hygiene in 2020 and has been practicing for more than four years. Passionate about patient education, she emphasizes the connection between oral and overall health while creating a calming and supportive experience. Priya values delivering meaningful care in a positive environment and appreciates the flexibility that allows her to spend time with her husband and young son.
Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, watching movies, and exploring new restaurants.
Front Office Administration
Alecksa, Team Manager, Treatment Coordinator, & Dental Assistant
Alecksa is the Treatment Coordinator and Team Manager at North Meridian Dental Excellence. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance from Indiana University Kokomo and completed the Dental Careers Foundation’s accelerated dental assisting course at NMDE. Inspired by her own hygienist, she developed a passion for dentistry and has since grown with the practice. She values educating patients and celebrating their confidence through improved smiles.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking trails, identifying wildflowers, listening to audiobooks, and creating art—fun fact: one of her paintings was even displayed in a museum.
Gwen, Lead Front Office Administrator & Insurance Coordinator
Gwen brings 11 years of dental experience to NMDE. She graduated from an Indianapolis Dental Assisting course and now leads the front office and coordinates insurance. She values honesty, kindness, and solving patient concerns quickly, while also appreciating the supportive team environment.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her “successful, adult” daughter and beloved dog. A fun fact: she would almost always rather be eating, napping, or sleeping.
Aimee, Billing & Insurance Manager
Aimee has 35 years of experience in dentistry and is CPR certified. A graduate of the IU School of Dentistry, she now manages billing and insurance, helping patients navigate the financial aspects of care to reduce stress and confusion. She finds fulfillment in supporting patients so they can focus on their oral health.
She enjoys spending time with her two adult children in Columbus, Ohio, and while in Indianapolis, she loves boating, concerts, festivals, and gardening. A fun fact: she is an avid cook who enjoys recreating restaurant dishes for family and friends.
Katey, Social Media Manager, Front Office Administration, & Dental Assistant
Katey began her dental career while attending the Dental Careers Foundation, graduating in 2022, and has been part of the team ever since. With three years of experience in dentistry, she enjoys the close-knit, family-like environment of the office and values helping patients feel comfortable and cared for throughout their visits. As the practice’s Social Media Manager, Katey loves showcasing smile transformations and sharing updates on Instagram (@NMDEindy) to highlight the team’s work and promote patient confidence.
Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, going to concerts, exploring state parks, and cooking.
Dental Assistants
Jeananne, Lead Assistant, Implant & Oral Surgery Coordinator, EFDA
Jeananne has 26 years of experience in dentistry and serves as Lead Assistant, Implant and Oral Surgery Coordinator, and EFDA. She is CPR certified, radiology licensed, and trained in coronal polishing, fluoride application, and advanced implant education through the 3D Dentists Implant Continuum. A graduate and now instructor at the Dental Careers Foundation, she also studied at Indiana University. She values strong teamwork, respectful collaboration, and long-term patient relationships while making dental visits comfortable and enjoyable.
Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking, gardening, and time with her family, dog, and parrot. A fun fact: she is obsessed with blueberries and loves the smell of old books!
Zafiro “Michelle”, Invisalign Coordinator & EFDA
Michelle has over five years of experience in dentistry and serves as NMDE’s Invisalign Coordinator and EFDA. She holds a radiology license and CPR certification, and she graduated from the Dental Careers Foundation. She values teamwork, continuous learning, and empowering patients through compassionate and personalized care.
Outside the office, she enjoys relaxing with her children and friends, playing video games, baking, and creating art. A fun fact: though born in the U.S., she grew up in Veracruz, Mexico, and she also enjoys tattooing.
Sarah, Lab Coordinator & EFDA
Sarah has 1.5 years of dental experience and serves as Lab Coordinator and EFDA. She is radiology licensed, CPR certified, and a graduate of the Dental Careers Foundation. She enjoys helping patients feel comfortable, especially those who may feel anxious about dental visits, and values the supportive environment at NMDE.
Outside of work, she enjoys time with her family. A fun fact: she is also a licensed aesthetician and loves helping people feel confident, whether through skincare or a healthy smile.
